Mobile Food Pantry

With kids home during the summer months, groceries don't always last long! If you or your family are looking for some assistance with food/groceries, check out this awesome resource! The NE Iowa Mobile Food Pantry is at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 203 Pearl Street in Guttenberg every 3rd Saturday of the month.  Check-in begins shortly after 9:00 10:00 to 11:00 is the scheduled hour for people to receive the food, but at times the time is extended a little.

The recipients must be Clayton County residents and must present a valid driver’s license or other form of ID.  A large family is allowed to go through the line twice.  We ask that the person bring a large container for their groceries, i.e. a large box, laundry basket, etc.

Food items vary every month but often include one or two types of meat, canned goods, juices, pastas, cereals, fruits and vegetables, and bread.  Eggs and milk have been available the past few months.  We usually get watermelon one or two times during the summer.  There is always a good variety! If you have any questions please feel free to call the Northeast Iowa Food Bank at 319-235-0507 or St. John's Lutheran Church at 563-252-2355
