Liz Tuecke

I am in my 10th year of teaching at Central, and my 17th year of teaching overall. Through those years I have taught 2nd grade in a single grade classroom, Pre-school in my home, 6th grade departmentalized:  Language Arts, Reading, and Science, Elementary TAG (Talented and Gifted) students, and specialized Reading.

Concordia University (Chicago) is where I obtained my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 1991.  In 2012 I completed my master's degree at Drake University in DesMoines.  In addition, I have endorsements for teaching Reading and Talented and Gifted, and receive ongoing instruction to teach Reading Recovery.

My husband is a native of Garnavillo, while I was born and raised in southern Indiana. Though we lived just a block from the school in Elkader for many years, we now live in rural Clayton County on a small farm with our 3 teenagers, all students at Central.  One of our favorite ways to spend time together is through travel.
