Last Fall Central received a STEM BEST Award from the Iowa Governor's STEM Advisor Council to create a new program that will connect businesses and students together to produce better future employees, increase awareness of employment opportunities and to strengthen the school-community relationship. We are excited with the start of the new school year to launch our new program, Clayton County BEST. Clayton County BEST will work in collaboration with West Delaware High School's DEL-CO BEST program to partner students with local businesses and community organizations to help solve problems and foster relationships.
We will be kicking off this new program at our Partner Palooza on September 5th at 1:30 in Manchester and September 10th at 1:30 here in Elkader. Several local businesses and organizations have already expressed their interest in the program. If you are interested in finding our more information feel free to join us on either date or contact Ann Gritzner (firstname.lastname@example.org) or the Central Office. Additional information can be found in the Resources folder under Clayton County BEST on the school website. Thank you to all of the businesses and community organizations who have helped to make this program possible and to all that have pledged future help.
