PLEASE WAIT FOR INSTRUCTIONS FROM YOUR PROCTOR. DO NOT ENTER ANY INFORMATION UNTIL YOU ARE DIRECTED TO DO SO.

1. Open your laptop and check the battery level, must be at 50%. Plug into power supply if necessary before you begin the test.

   • Make sure you are on the Central wifi network.

   • Quit any open applications
     Go under the Apple to FORCE QUIT, Quit everything except FINDER and TestTNAV.

   • Open System Preferences

     • Disable Siri. Make sure the box is UNCHECKED before “Enable Siri.”

• NEW! Click on Bluetooth. Turn OFF. 

1. In Keyboarding, disable Dictation.

   • Under Notifications & Focus, click on Focus at the top. Add a Turn on Automatically for Do Not Disturb to from 8:00am - 3:30pm. Hit the plus sign, and select Add Time-Based Automation.

   • Click on Desktop & Screen Saver. Click on Screen Saver and  UNCHECK THE BOX.

   • Click on Desktop & Screen Saver. Click on Desktop. You must USE a static picture that DOES NOT MOVE

   • Click BATTERY, select Battery from the left menu, and move slider to "Turn display off after: 1 hour".

   • Close System Preferences.

2. Open TestNav and make sure Iowa is listed at the top

3. Run an App Check

4. Return to TestNav login page and wait for your proctor to give you instructions

The Student Readiness Tool should be used to familiarize students with how to navigate the TestNav 8 computer-based environment (advancing, going back, tool bar, embedded supports and accommodations), how to use online tools, and how to work with online test questions.
