Below you will find the Return to Learn "Plan" all school districts submitted to the Iowa Department of Education on July 1st. As you can see this plan does not have many specifics and is very broad, hence why I am hesitant to even call it a plan.
Central has put together a Return to Learn Committee to develop a more local and descriptive Return to Learn Plan. Our team is currently focusing on the Remote Learning part of that plan. We know that if we must do remote learning in the future, the State will make that mandatory (this past spring remote learning was optional). The other part of our plan is focusing on everyone coming back as "usual" and ensuring we have the correct safety measures in place to keep students, staff, and our community safe. As of today, the most recent guidance is we can return to school on August 24th. As you all know, COVID-19 has been very fluid. We will continue to update and revise our plan as new information is shared with us.
Our goal is to have our local plan ready to be shared sometime in the first part of August. Here is the plan all Iowa school districts submitted to the State: Return to Learn 2020/21
