🌱 Exciting news from Mrs. Bond: Our CTE Agriculture Education program is planting seeds for the future!
Agricultural Education is one of the many Career and Technical Education programs that schools can offer in high school. Agricultural education includes a three circle model of Classroom and Laboratory, Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE), and FFA (National FFA Organization). It offers a variety of courses at Central Community High School and caters to a broad range of interests in agriculture including business, animal science, agronomy, plant science, entrepreneurship, leadership, and food science.
In addition to the classroom, the students have the opportunity to be involved in FFA and SAE. The whole program prepares students for employment in current and emerging occupations. Students gain employability and technical skills to prepare them for their future!
We want to hear about your Ag CTE experiences while at Central! Share your stories, favorite moments, or valuable lessons learned in the comments below.

From helping students navigate academic and personal challenges, to providing a safe space to talk, Mrs. Bergan's impact is felt throughout our school. You can see here that the Kindergarten students love story time with Mrs. Bergan!
So to Mrs. Bergan, we say THANK YOU for all that you do!

Fourth graders have had a busy week! They finished up Junior Achievement, learning about running a hot dog stand and what a supply chain is. A big thank you to Ann McCorkindale for coming to teach us about being entrepreneurs! Another guest was Abbey Harkrader. Students traveled on the trail as pioneers. They bought supplies and found out through historical journal entries if they made good choices to survive the trail! Elizabeth Blake from Ag in the Classroom had students be detectives, trying to figure out what tools from the past were used for!

Earlier this week, Abby from Osborne brought the story "The Mitten" to life! 📖✨ She introduced the characters in a fun and engaging way and even retold the tale using an extra-large mitten! 🧤

Sharing the excitement from yesterday's CCS assembly at Central! It was so much fun learning and cheering together. The second graders did an amazing job teaching us all about growth mindset!

Match Day - Good Luck!

Thank you to our fine arts boosters for the amazing new choir stoles. They look so professional!!

Central's 6th grade has been investigating Central America, South America, and Caribbean countries. Learning about governments, religions, conflicts, historical events, fun facts, plus other information about the country they drew from a hat. After investigating they completed informational documents and created a country flag. The Projects are hanging in the hall.

Central's 6th grade started their unit on It's Your Job-Soft Skills from Junior Achievement. Our Guest Speaker for the Unit is Peggy Schilling.
