Spring is in full swing, and Clayton County BEST students are teaming up with the Rural Heritage Museum to restore a classic Model A vehicle! The students have been hard at work in the school’s shop, carefully dismantling the interior and smoothing out the fenders. 🌟 Celebrating a New Upcoming Chapter in Food Service at Central CSD! 🌟
As we approach the end of the 2024-2025 school year, we want to take a moment to congratulate Mrs. Carolyn Campbell on her well-deserved retirement as the Food Service Director at Central CSD. For nine and a half years, Mrs. Campbell has poured her heart and soul into nourishing our students and ensuring that every meal is not just food, but a warm, welcoming experience. Thank you, Mrs. Campbell, for your incredible service to Central Community School!
We are also thrilled to announce that on Monday night, the Central School Board approved the hiring of Mrs. Kara Armstrong as the new Food Service Director at Central CSD at the start of the 2025-2026 school year. We have every confidence that her fresh ideas and enthusiasm will carry forward the wonderful traditions that Mrs. Campbell established while bringing her unique vision to our food service program. We are excited to see how you will inspire and lead our Food Service team in the years to come.
Please join us in celebrating both these amazing women and the exciting changes ahead for Central CSD! 🎉👩🍳✨

Tonight, we hosted our annual FFA Ag Olympics, and it was an event to remember! 🎉 This year, we had some special guests who brought a fantastic surprise with them!
The Iowa FFA Foundation paid a visit to recognize our amazing Ag teacher, Mrs. Meghan Bond, with an incredible announcement: she has been named a 2025 Gold Owl Finalist! 🏆✨
Presented by Nationwide and the Iowa FFA Foundation, this prestigious award honors Iowa ag educators for their outstanding contributions to preparing the next generation for successful careers in Agriculture.
This year, there were 570 nominations for just 131 Iowa teachers, and Mrs. Bond is one of only 7 finalists! We couldn't be more proud of her achievement! 🙌
Congratulations, Mrs. Bond! Your dedication and passion inspire us all! 💚💛 #FFA #AgEducation #GoldOwlFinalist
Pictured with Mrs Bond are the following:

Northern Iowa Leadership conference 2025. Some of our Student Council students took off early this morning to learn all things leadership. Leadership is someone who makes the visions of followers come true. Someone who makes a goal and takes that goal to completion. Leadership is the communication, motivation, responsibility, contribution, decision, responsibility. We are the voice. We are the difference. I am excited for the kids experience from today’s messages! Thank you to Mason City High School for putting this conference on!

Kicking off National FFA Week with leadership development events at Postville High School! Good luck to these FFA members today!
