Young Musicians Honor Band in Cedar Rapids on Saturday. We had three students from the 5th and 6th grade bands participate (Emersyn Wiley, Nathan Friedlein, and Grayson Gossman). The kids had a fantastic time participating and playing with other area 1st and second year band students.

Central staff had fun by taking part in a Secret Dress Up Week this week! (The students didn't know about it!) Tuesday was Anything But A Cup, Wednesday was Secret Service, Thursday was Workout Day and today was Flannel and Socks With Sandals. It was fun to see the confusion on the students' faces, especially the younger ones while they tried to figure out what was happening!

Spring is in full swing, and Clayton County BEST students are teaming up with the Rural Heritage Museum to restore a classic Model A vehicle! The students have been hard at work in the school’s shop, carefully dismantling the interior and smoothing out the fenders. This exciting project is featured in this week's paper, where the students share their thoughts on the hands-on experience.
