The Central Spanish club will be selling walking Tacos during parent teacher conferences in the Central Foyer on Tuesday, March 15th. Meal includes a drink, walking taco and dessert. All money goes to support students on their Spanish trip to Costa Rica this summer.
Today the 7th and 8th Grade Band performed at the Middle School Large Group Festival at NFV. Please congratulate them as they came home with a Superior Rating.
The preschool celebrated their 100th day of school with 100 balloons, a number scavenger hunt and cake today!
Paid Internship
Central's 6th grade tried some blind weaving today. The activity let students get an idea of what Phillip, a character in our novel The Cay, is going through being blind and shipwrecked. ( who knew masks made great blindfolds)
Congratulations to Central's jazz choir, Jazz Central, on being selected for the Iowa Vocal Jazz Championships! They were one of eight 1A school ensembles selected for the IVJC event and will perform on March 29th for the IVJC event at West Des Moines Valley HS. Congratulations!

Second and fifth grade book buddies were both talking about homophones, so the fifth graders decided to make a worksheet for the second graders to do this week.
Fourth grade students had fun reading their first letters from their Georgia pen pals! They have plenty of ideas on what to write back to them!
