#ClaytonCountyBEST would like to thank Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation & Development for awarding us the Watershed Guardian Grant to purchase trees to plant for Earth Day 2021. Also a big thank you to Osborne Nature Center and Clayton County Conservation for partnering with us on this event.

Students in Animal Science are learning the primal and retail cuts of beef. Price of the retail cut is highly dependent on the location it is from on the beef animal. One goal for this lesson is to be a wiser consumer at the grocery store when choosing beef.

The Central JH and HS participated in Earth Day activities this week. Students did river cleanup on the Turkey, planted trees at Osborne, did roadside clean up, spruced up Founders Park and had a little fun fishing the Turkey River.
