Any girl in 5th or 6th grade who is interested in playing volleyball this fall may sign up on Saturday, August 24th at 9:00am in the Foyer at Central Community School. We will then have our first practice from 9:30-11:00am. If you can not make it, please contact Kelly Erickson at 563-880-6443.

Any JH student who would like to participate in cross country should meet coach Bauder during fifth hour in the gym on Monday.

Any JH student who would like to play football this year should meet coach Koehn after school on Friday in the small gym. Uniforms will be handed out and the team will do a light workout.

Anyone interested in going out for junior high volleyball will meet with Mrs. Erickson during 5th period on Friday in Mrs. Walz's room. The first day of practice will be on Monday August 26th at 3:45. You must have your physical turned in to practice.

Tonight’s school board meeting will be held in the commons area instead of the elementary media center.

Reminder the PreK-6th grade Welcome Back Open House is tomorrow, 5:30-6:30. Come see your new classroom and meet your teacher!

An update from Central Fine Arts Booster's August meeting:
The Boosters voted to provide a financial donation to the school district towards the purchase of a new tuba and portable speaker system. The Boosters are also working on creating a t-shirt for purchase to help promote Central's fine arts. Tracy Nemechek was elected Vice President. The upcoming fine arts trip to Nashville, updates to the auditorium, and the calendar of events were also discussed. The next meeting is Monday, September 9 at 6:30pm in the Music Room.

If you have not registered your students for the 2019-2020 school year, please call 245-1751 as soon as possible to set up an appointment to do so. All students must be registered before the first day of school on August 23rd.
