
Central will dismiss at 1:00 today due to weather.

This morning members of the American Legion presented the awards for the fifth grade flag essay. The photo shows the top four in order from left to right.

The basketball games for this evening have been postponed until January 26th. The time is to be determined.

The JV/V basketball games that were postponed today will be played Saturday, January 26th beginning at 3:00 PM.

These students in the 7th and 8th grade classes earned a spot to participate in the Central Community School GeoBee which was held on January 16.

Lunch date with 1st grade. Found out they are growing grass and alfalfa in science and learning about a Growth Mindset!


Central’s Geography Bee is happening now. Check back for results.


The 7th grade science class are conducting experiments on speed and velocity. They had to graph the data collected and calculate speed.


The 5th grade students had to find their mates by only listening for their matching noisemaker sound before the predators got them!




The 8th grade science class watched a speaker demonstration led by a classmate.

Every Friday morning I get to start my day by recognizing Central’s Worthy Warriors. In Mrs. Fallon’s class I got a nice surprise as the students secretly made her an award for making learning fun! Awesome job 3rd graders!


Students in grades 6-8 (individual and team projects) are invited to participate in the 2019 Keystone Science Fair on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM on the NICC Calmar Campus – Max Clark Hall.
Projects will consist of classic research/experimentally-based science fair projects. Any interested students can talk to their science teacher or contact Mrs. Walz for more information and to register for the event.

Fifth graders enjoyed a special presentation today about water and how we all need to work on protecting it.
