The public hearing for the District Calendar will take place on January 20, 2025, at the regular scheduled school board meeting, starting at 6:00 p.m. Building principals have met with their leadership teams and we are currently working on revisions to the draft. We will post the revised draft once finished so the community has a chance to review it ahead of the hearing.

Driver's Ed class for Central are starting on March 31st and running through April 24th.
Classes will run Mon / Tues / Thurs from 6:00pm until 8:30pm.

What are you doing this spring? How about participating in Central's April play! If you have any questions or want to sign up contact Mr. Kluesner. Please note that priority is being put on making sure those interested in the play will be able to participate. The play itself will be decided upon based on the number of students wishing to take part.


Who is ready to show some free throwing skills? Come to the small gym this Friday, January 17th to see if you can make it to Regionals.


Come join us for a fundraiser to support Central Junior High's Lock -In. Students will be helping with dishes, delivering food, and greeting customers!
Wondering what a Lock In is? Our 7th and 8th graders will be staying at school the entire night, doing fun activities, and more!

Match day - Boys Wrestling JV/V Central Invitational.


Today the 6th grade class completed a code drawing. They followed directional arrows and changing colors along the path. Wise Owl.











The 2nd graders have been enjoying watching the mealworms grow and change. Some are still in the larva stage, some have moved into the pupa stage and some have even entered the adult stage and have become a darkling bettle!





Students in Mrs. Bond's Plant Science class dug right in and got their hands dirty by testing the feel of soil.


6th grade were practicing an addition of integers card game. Black suits are positive numbers while red cards are negative. Groups had to decide before the round began if they were trying to end the game closest to zero, highest positive number or lowest negative number. The battle was on. However, poor Mrs. Pope did NOT have luck on her side, but enjoyed the game.







Today is the day, UIC Dual Tournament at home!


Did you know that Central Warriors PTO is planning a Bingo Night? Save the date for Saturday, January 18th from 6-7:30pm at Elkader Golf and Country Club.


Central's Pep Band filled the gym with school spirit last night. In case you missed it, they will be playing again on Tuesday 1/14 and 1/21 for our home basketball games.

Ann McCorkindale will be teaching Junior Achievement with the 4th graders over the next 4 weeks. They will be learning about running a business.
