Osborne Nature Center Press Release
From: Abbey Harkrader
For: Immediate Release
Date: January 29th, 2021
Snowfest at Osborne Park
Saturday, February 27th, 1:00 pm
Event will be at the Osborne Pond
Reservations Required for borrowing equipment
The Clayton County Conservation Boards will sponsor a fun day in the snow on Saturday, February 27th from 1:00-3:00. Join us for Snowfest at the Osborne Pond for a family fun day that is free to all.
Head over to the Osborne Pond to learn how to snowshoe or ice fish with the Clayton County naturalists. They will have gear to borrow, or you can bring your own. There will be a nice fire in the shelter to warm up as well as hot cocoa and marshmallows to roast.
Registration is preferred if you wish to borrow gear to ensure we have enough available. Please indicate men's, women's, or youth to borrow snowshoes (snowshoe sizes generally work for 10 and older). It is a fun way to exercise this winter while getting in touch with nature. Call to register at the Osborne Nature Center 563-245-1516.
Osborne Nature Center is located on HWY 13 five miles south of Elkader. The center is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday-Friday. For more information on events call 563-245-1516 or visit www.claytoncountyconservation.org.

Thank you to the representatives from CJ Moyna's and NICC for taking time to speak with students about career opportunities and the training programs that are available.
