Central's Large Group Speech Team had a very successful day at the District Contest held at NFV High School. After working hard for the past few months, all 8 groups competed today and 7 groups will be moving onto the State Contest, which includes all 16 speech team members. Students competed in the categories of Ensemble Acting, Group Improv, Musical Theatre, Radio Broadcasting, Readers Theatre, and Solo Mime. This is an amazing accomplishment by the team and we look forward to the great things they accomplish in the near future!

The middle school Leadership & Service class is getting started with service projects based on problems they have identified and wish to solve. One group wants to improve the kickball field behind the school and another group is working with Mrs. Cobie-Nuss to help build elementary students’ sense of belongingness. More projects to share later!
6th Grade had a great time on their Hatchet survival field trip to Osborne Nature Center. Building shelters, snowshoe games.... Thank you Kenny and Abby and Osborne for hosting.
