
NICC's Summer 2024 High School Driver's Education
PLEASE NOTE: There has been a change in location for this summer's driver's ed. courses. Previously scheduled to be held at Keystone AEA, they will now be held at Central School.
*** Scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings, from July 15 - August 2. Classes will be held from 8:00 – 10:30 am.

*** If your family qualifies for the free/reduced lunch program, you may be eligible for a voucher for driver's ed. For more information on receiving a voucher, please call the Central Business Office at 563-245-1751


Danielle Shea presented the third graders with certificates for completing Junior Achievement. Mrs. Shea made multiple visits with our classes, teach them lessons about managing money. Thank you Danielle for taking time out of your day to spend with our students!!!



Warrior Families, 2024 Graduates and area community members, please remember our Academic and Awards Recognition Night this coming Tuesday! The event starts at 6:00 and all are welcome!!!

Fourth graders had a great day yesterday at NICC's Dairy Center. They learned about dairy history, different dairy breeds, and nutrition. The best parts of the day were making ice cream and touring the barns!

Yesterday, Central Preschool and Junior Kindergarten enjoyed the school day at Country View Dairy learning how milk is turned into dairy products. The kids especially enjoyed the calves, frozen yogurt and park!






Central 7th grade students were treated to an afternoon at Bearfoot Bay today, as they were the latest winners in "Our Price is Right Game Show" at this last month's assembly. Who wouldn't like to skip out of school for a day at the pool!!!

Every morning of testing students were given a super secret "testing ticket" so they can log into the test. Mrs. Stannard, using growth mindset, had students write 3 messages to themselves to look at while testing. Their messages are so powerful and uplifting.
Students gave everything they had this week and their teachers are proud of them! Great Day to be a Warrior!


What an awesome day of singing for the 5th/6th honor choir yesterday.. Central was well-represented at NEICDA in Oelwein. Way to go, singers!

5/6 Grade students celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up the school grounds. They found reward in their efforts by throwing full garbage bags into the dumpster knowing how great their school looks. Great day to be a Warrior!


Central Elementary students have been working hard and raising money for The American Heart Association! Nice job, Warriors!!!


Central's District Office started the morning with some extra special guests today! Central Bus Drivers were treated to breakfast and coffee after they completed their routes. Thank you, Central Bus Drivers! We would literally be lost without you!!!

Last Friday, Central Elementary had a NED's Mindset Mission Assembly! NED's mission is to teach kids to:
Never give up
Encourage others
Do your best
The kids had a fun time and we also had guests from Think Custom present the Belser family a check from all of the proceeds of the bELIeve shirts and signs.
It was a great day to be a Warrior!







Central HS Girls Track and Field Team is headed to Waukon this afternoon, where they will compete with Crestwood, Decorah, New Hampton, NFV, Osage and Waukon. Good Luck, Lady Warriors!!!
