We are three days into Random Acts of Kindness Week. This is a great time to remind ourselves the importance of being kind. Unexpected kindness, expecting nothing in return, is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. #MakeKindnessTheNorm

Congratulations to these Worthy Warriors for the week of February 5th through the 9th. Keep up the great work. GO WARRIORS!

A Warrior Reminder: Central students will have NO School next Monday!

The January Fine Arts Student of the Month is described as a student who is always willing to help and wants to perform anything and everything. This student has helped with performances for classes they are not even apart of and is a huge asset to the group. Teachers describe this student as extremely reliable, someone who takes initiative to practice, and also help others practice. They went on to say, “he is someone who is just fun to work with and watch lead and grow!” The January Fine Arts Student of the Month is Jesse Polkinghorn.

The January Student-Athlete of the Month is described as a key individual in the team’s success this season and recent improvements to the team’s performance. Coaches have noted that the time spent in the gym during the offseason has made a huge difference in both individual and team success this year. Opponents have noted the offensive threat this basketball player can be, but this student-athlete is making a big impact with teammates with a strong defensive presence. Passing the basketball has been a huge strength, allowing teammates to be involved in the game. Finally, this student-athlete is someone we can rely on to be at school and practice when they are not feeling 100%. Coaches said, “we appreciate your commitment and leadership in this way, which other athletes can look to as a role model in how to do things correctly.” The January Student-Athlete of the Month is Ashlyn Scherf.

The Art Booth at Central's Carnival this weekend was a big hit! With the newly added caricature drawings this year, artwork was completed by juniors, Jillian Finley and Alexis Thiese. Central Girls Basketball won their 1st round Regional basketball game over Tripoli. It was a well rounded offensive game with eight different players in the scoring column. A night with a lot of physical play, the team came out with a good defensive mindset in the first half. The Warriors built a 26 point lead in the third quarter and cruised in the fourth quarter for a 58-31 victory. A big shout out to our fans for coming out to support the girls.
