Thank you to Jillian Hermann at The Collective for hosting our Lives through Letters group today. Members were able to spend the afternoon learning simple and creative ways to create cards for Valentine's Day. The cards will be delivered to the Elkader Nursing home for residents to enjoy. The Collective will be set up this weekend for anyone who would like to stop in and create their own cards.

Central LEAD students used their leadership skills to support our very own Central Warrior family and Eli. Central LEAD students, Avery Fette and Madelyn Pope held a Valentine’s Day photo op on February 24 at Founders Park and raised money for the Belser family. Additionally, we had another group of LEAD students make a yellow and gold tie blanket for Eli!

School counselors create a tremendous impact on students in achieving school success and planning for life after high school. Today kicks off National School Counseling Week and here at Central, we are fortunate to have a dedicated consultant who provides invaluable support to our students and their families. Mrs. Angie Bergan serves as our Guidance Counselor and has been working with the Central Community School District since 2017. No longer being shared with Starmont Schools, she became a full-time Warrior in the Fall of 2022. Mrs. Bergan comes with many years of experience in counseling and works with our students to remove barriers in learning, helping them address academic concerns, their career options, all while trying to manage their social and emotional skills. She assists students daily, fostering relationships, helping with class schedules, and creating an environment to promote the best learning atmosphere possible. She is an essential part of our student success! Please help give a BIG THANK YOU to Central's Guidance Counselor and show our appreciation this week, especially! Have you met Mrs. Bergan? How has she helped you and/or your student? If Mrs. Bergan has helped you or your family in any way, we would love to hear about it.
