BIG Congrats to Jaydin Dettman, Central Senior who is STATE BOUND for the third time in her high school career! Congratulations to the rest of our Warrior Runners on a successful season., as well! Today, the girls team finished 6th place out of ten complete teams and the boys finished 10th out of sixteen complete teams. Way to go, Warriors!!!


Mr. Ledbeter's Outdoor Recreation Class finished up another round of Hunter Safety Class today. Nice work, Warriors!

Celebrate the start of the holiday season at the historic Motor Mill with the 7 th Annual
Motor Mill Bridge Lighting and Open House on Saturday, November 18th from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M.
Come on down to watch the Motor Mill foundation light up the bridge. Each year local
friendly elves come together to work hard lighting up the bridge for all to enjoy. So be
sure to head over the river and through the woods to Motor Mill for a festive evening in a
beautiful and historic setting. The beautiful display of lights will be turned on at 5:00
P.M.

The Central Elementary CCS Assembly winners took their incentive trip to Motor Mill this afternoon. Mr. Trenkamp and Mr. Rodenberg, along with fourteen students were given a tour of the mill by Clayton County Conservation Naturalist and Resource Manager, Kenny Slocum. He discussed the history of the milll with the students, as well as why it was built in its current location. Sounds like it was a perfect autumn afternoon!


Keystone AEA has partnered with the University of Iowa on a federal grant to increase the number of mental health professionals graduating in Iowa and serving our schools. The grant provides tuition assistance to students in the programs of school psych, school social work, school counseling and public health.
Keystone will host a community conversation event annually to help identify needed supports in NE Iowa. We will be sharing information about district and AEA efforts to support students during the conversation. The first one will be held on November 9th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, via zoom. The attached flier has all the details and a registration link. The target audience is parents and caregivers, however anyone can attend.

NICC's Fall 2023 High School Driver's Education
There WILL be a fall session of Driver's Ed held at Central CSD.
*** Scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings from November 6, 2023 - December 4, 2023, from 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm (with the exception of Thanksgiving).

The Central Cross Country team will be heading to North Linn on Thursday afternoon for the 2023 1A State Qualifying Meet. Please see attached information for the event.

5th and 6th grade students are preparing the school garden for fall and for planting some pollinator plants to sprout in the spring. Mrs. Stannard received a grant for the plants.




Kudos to Central Students who brought in some amazing school spirit to the gym for the first round of volleyball postseason play! While everyone looked very patriotic, we had a few stand out with with awesome energy that kept the student section on their feet! Congrats to Gracie Cummer, Jaydin Dettman and Ashlyn Scherf - Tonight's winners in the Warrior Fan Spirit Contest!


Congratulations to the Central Volleyball Team, as they won the first round of Regionals tonight, defeating Valley Lutheran in three! The Warriors will play again on Wednesday night, where they will face the Janesville Wildcats in the second round of postseason play!
