These three students represented Central at the Dorian Vocal Festival at Luther College on Sunday and Monday. It was an amazing weekend filled with incredible music. Congrats, Sam, Brandy, and Olivia!

The past few years we have put a heavy emphasis on building stronger relationships at Central. Our next step in doing so is to tell you a little about ourselves! Each week you will see posts highlighting a team member. Feel free to comment to tell us what we have in common!
Meet Mrs. Funke!

Meet Mrs. Bergan!

The kindergartners enjoyed doing a variety of activities in Makerspace this week! We put together a special Rudolph snack to eat, made ornaments out of popsicle sticks, created a jingle bell maze using Legos, made our own slime, got creative with Perler beads and experimented with Makey Makey.

Students in Ms. Funk and Mrs. Pendleton's Advisory group recently spent their extra time writing holiday letters to veterans at the Iowa Veteran's Home in Marshalltown. The students wrote 408 letters!
Thank you for all of your hard work with this!

Central Student Council members delivered items to Shepard of the Hills today that were collected during their winter clothing drive. Thank you to all who donated to help out Central and local families.

Central's 6th grade made ornaments with plastic cups and melted them in oven. We used the Makerspace oven this morning.

Thanks to the City of Elkader for helping out Mr. Bergan and the students by doing the heavy lifting for us and unloading our project steel.
We appreciate your help!

Central will have a regular dismissal at 3:15 tomorrow (Tuesday, December 20th). There will be no school through January 3, and we will see you all back on Wednesday, January 4th! Have a safe break and Happy Holidays!
