Below you will see the outline of our parade route! The line up for the parade will start at the Elkader City T-Ball Fields at 5:00 p.m. Please find a spot along the side of the route to enjoy the parade! If you are wanting to have a float in the parade, please line up behind our high school athletic floats! The pep rally following the parade will be live streamed on our Facebook page if you are unable to attend!

The Oelwein Lion's Club came today to complete vision screens through the Iowa KidSight Program. This is a free program that captures an image of the children's eyes and identifies any concerns. Early detection means early correction. The preschoolers loved seeing their eyes on camera!

What other honors have your received while at Central? I have been all conference and district several times in sports. I also have been on the supreme honor roll all my years of high school. I was inducted into NHS my sophomore year of high school. Do you work outside of school, if so where? I work at the Elkader Care Center and I also mow lawns. What are your hobbies and interests? I enjoy playing basketball, being outside, and watching Iowa State games. What is your favorite Central memory? My favorite memory so far is medaling in the 4x4 at state track the past two years. I am currently in Cross Country, Track & Field, High School Chorus, Winter Madrigal, Spring musicals, Large Group Speech, Individual Speech, and National Honor Society. In past years, I have been involved in Basketball, Wrestling cheerleading, Jazz Central, High School band and Marching band, along with participation from honor choirs. What classes are you currently taking? I am currently taking Statistics, High School Chorus, U.S. History Since 1877, English 4, Anatomy & Physiology, and Strength & Conditioning. What other honors have you received while at Central? Fine Arts Student of the Month, National Honor Society, Supreme Honor Roll, and being one point away from a perfect score on my solo for solo/ensemble last year. Do you work outside of school, if so where? Yes, I am a barista at Gear. What are your hobbies and interests? I love to sing, read, go shopping, and hangout with my friends! What is your favorite Central memory? My favorite Central memories are from cross country when we would go in the river after finishing 800 repeats. What are your future plans? Participated in Basketball, Cross Country, Football, and is active in the school Chior. He has also helped with the school’s Musicals, and Plays. The Parlimentarian of the FFA. What other honors have your received while at Central? Being the first in many years to achieve the Iowa degree in FFA, and Student athlete of the month. Do you work outside of school, if so where? Working at his Aunt and Uncles restaurant in Prairie called The Porch. What are your hobbies and interests? Hobbies include hanging out with friends, playing basketball, being involved at St. Joseph’s church, and driving around. What is your favorite Central memory? My mom telling me to rub some dirt on it, after I tore my ACL. What are your future plans? To become an Iowa State Trooper.

Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Large Group Speech, Fall Play, Spring Musical, Choir, and Student Council What classes are you currently taking? American government, chorus, independent art, strength and conditioning, anatomy and physiology, 2 college courses, and on the job training at ThINK Custom. What other honors have you received while at Central? Lettering in Basketball, Volleyball, and Track. 1st place awards in the Upper Iowa Conference art show. Awards in fine arts. I am also a member of NHS and the Clayton county council. Do you work outside of school, if so where? Yes, I’ve been working at ThINK Custom in Elkader for a little over a year What are your hobbies and interests? My hobbies include art and sports. Much of my art can be found displayed in the school or in town! I also enjoy working with all kinds of animals. What are your future plans?
