The General Music Program received some early presents this year from the Central School and the Fine Arts Boosters! The two organizations worked together with the Music Department to provide these top quality instruments for the program’s educational developments. The students are excited to work with their new Tubano Drums and Mallet Instruments to expand their musical knowledge. Thank you to all who helped make this dream a reality and for supporting the fine arts!

Tonight would have been the Iowa High School Music Association's All-State Music Festival in Ames, IA. While the event was unable to take place this year, the honor of being selected for this chorus does not change.
On Oct. 24th, Brenna Buckman was selected as an Alto 1 and a member of the Iowa All-State Chorus, an honor which only 600 students around the state earn in a given year. Out of all 1A-4A accepted schools for the Chorus, roughly 6.83% of those were 1A. Central was one of those on the list.
In order to become a part of the All-State Ensembles, it takes countless hours of preparation, hard work, diligent practice, and perseverance. This is an honor that is truly earned. Brenna represents Central this year as a part of this renowned Chorus. Congratulations to Brenna on this prestigious honor!
