Northeast Iowa Family STEM Festival
The free event will occur today, October 24 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Keystone Area Education Agency (AEA) in Elkader. Organized like a street festival or county fair, visitors stroll from activity to activity at their leisure. All ages are welcome to attend. Exhibits will feature interactive STEM activities for students and their families. Attendees may conduct amazing science experiments, observe a variety of fascinating animals, perform surgery with a Laparoscopic Surgical Trainer, test their skills on a welding simulator, measure electricity usage of common electronic devices, and much more! Visit our website to learn more about the exhibitors attending.
The STEM festival is a great opportunity to speak with staff from higher education or to learn about possible career opportunities from local businesses. The STEM festival is also a great opportunity for elementary students and their parents to learn about various STEM programs and activities.
Students and families may register at the door or they may bring the completed express registration form with them the day of the event and turn it in at the registration desk.
