Mr. O'Brien and four FFA students traveled to Iowa State University in Ames for the state agronomy contest. There were teams from 26 schools with between 85 and 90 students participating. The Central team finished 12th and Laci Orr was the 5th place individual overall. The students practiced for several weeks ahead of time with much appreciated help from Meghan Bond who teaches agronomy at Hawkeyes Tech in Waterloo.

Hello Athletic Booster Members, The booster board would like to invite you all to be a part of an upcoming fundraiser. We are planning to change up the annual golf tournament/moonlight golf and turn it into a fundraising event for the whole community. A few of the highlights we are planning are speaker, Rick Hartzell, steak dinner, raffle, bar bingo, moonlight golf and other contests. We need your help to make this event a success! If you would be interested in helping out in any way please plan to attend our next committee meeting Sunday June 30th at 7:30pm in the school commons area. If you are unable to attend but would still like to help out please let me know. If you are not a booster member and would like to join forms are available in the district office. Thank you, Molly Scherf, Athletic Booster Secretary
