The 4th graders have been reading the book, The Sign of the Beaver. In the book, the main character, Matt, makes johhny cakes as a means to survive. The 4th graders enjoyed baking johnny cakes with the Food Science 2 class.

The public hearing for the Instructional Support Levy will remain as scheduled tonight at 6:00 p.m. The regular scheduled school board meeting is postponed due to the regional final game. Go Warriors!
Central is going to school today. Buses will only travel roads that have been plowed and are safe. If you are still snowed in and we can’t get to you or you can’t get in, your students will be excused. Please contact the school with your road conditions so we can relay that message to our drivers.

Monday, February 18 the Girls Basketball Team will play in the Regional Final (winner advances to the State Tournament at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines) at Beckman High School in Dyersville. Game starts at 7:00. Pep bus info has been emailed to 7-12 students.

The school board meeting scheduled for Monday night will be postponed due to Central girls playing in the Regional Final. A reschedule date will be sent out soon.

Due to missing our previous days, the 4th Grade Girls' Puberty Class will take place on February 27th at 2:30PM in Mrs. Anstoetter's classroom. The 5th Grade Boys' Puberty Class will take place also on February 27th, but will start at 2:50PM in Mr. Rodenberg's classroom. Parents of those students are still welcome to attend!
