Students in Mrs. Stannard's 6th grade science class participated in a presentation from Ms. Abbey from Osborne today called, "It's in the Bones." They learned how to identify skulls using different structural parts, shapes and sizes from animals in Northeast Iowa. Teeth, jaw, auditory bullae size, nasal passage size, eye socket size and placement and determining the type of animal like carnivore and/or prey. Once they evaluated these on the skull, they made an educated guess on the animal the skull belonged too. Thank you Ms. Abbey for the very engaging and informative presentation!

We are three days into Random Acts of Kindness Week. This is a great time to remind ourselves the importance of being kind. Unexpected kindness, expecting nothing in return, is the most powerful, least costly, and most underrated agent of human change. No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted. #MakeKindnessTheNorm
