Central is on a two-hour late start Thursday.

The past few years we have put a heavy emphasis on building stronger relationships at Central. Our next step in doing so is to tell you a little about ourselves! Each week you will see posts highlighting a team member. Feel free to comment to tell us what we have in common! Please help us give a shout out to Mrs. Wiskus!

Today is National Bus Driver Appreciation Day and here at Central, it's easy to say, we have some of the BEST! Thank you to the many employees that help transport our students safely to and from school and all of our student activities. We appreciate the training, professionalism and care you take for our most precious cargo. A special thanks to our transportation director and route drivers that continue to go above and beyond on a daily basis, keeping the safety of the kids stepping on and off your buses a top priority. On an average day, our drivers log over 450 miles as they pick up and deliver Central students. Please help us celebrate our drivers and share below a special story and/or memory that you have had with any of our drivers.

Central is closed tomorrow (Wednesday).

With many great things happening at Central, we want to wish the best to our Central Community FFA Members as they compete this evening in the Subdistrict Leadership Career Development Event!

Officer Mitch stopped in to help out in Mrs. Bente's class today. Always a great day to see Officer Seitz in the building!

Central Graduates, we need your help! The Class of 2023 is looking to collect a few more graduation robes to reuse rather than purchasing new robes each year. Robes will continued to be stored and reused each year at the school. If you are able to help, please let us know. Any gently used graduation gowns may be dropped off at the district office at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us be thrifty and environmentally friendly as we look to celebrate this year's graduating class!

National FFA Dress Up Days continue and it seems we have a small group of farm animals roaming the halls at Central today!

Central Community is proud to host tonight's Varsity Boys matchup between Dyersville-Beckman and MFL MarMac as they head into the 2A District Finals. The doors will open at 6:00 PM and will be livestreamed on KCTN.

For Central fans that will not be in attendance, you will still be able to catch Jesse via live our Central Facebook page at 7:00 PM.

The Central Torch Chapter of the National Honor Society will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on March 1, 2023. We still have a few openings.
Please consider the gift of life!
If you need help scheduling an appointment, please contact Mrs. Angie Bergan at 563-245-1750.

Today marks the start of National FFA Week, where chapters across the country celebrate the week, sharing the impact FFA makes on its members. Pictured here are Rebecca and Blake, showing their participation in "Dress as a FARMER" Day! Please keep your eyes and ears open for your favorite farm animals to make an appearance tomorrow!

FFA Fun!

Another fun “Workshop Wednesday” with Sue Kuennen and her zen rock weaving skills. Students quickly realized it was a little trickier than they thought it would be, but were able to complete some nice pieces.

#ClaytonCountyBEST students assemble their story walk that will be coming to downtown windows soon. A great way to read and get some exercise with your kids while enjoying our historic downtown. #meetmeinelkader

4th grade Makerspace students baked a red velvet layer cake for Valentine's Day this week. Well done ladies.
