Did you know that Pi Day is observed on March 14th because the date 3/14 represents the first three significant figures of π (3.14)?
Yesterday, we celebrated the wonder of the mathematical constant π with a delicious twist! Pizza pie and dessert with a slice of apple pie? 🍏🥧
Fifth graders enjoyed a trip up to the preschool building to read with their little friends. They always enjoy the time they spend together.
Central band and choir students have kicked off our St. Louis trip with a fun visit to the zoo and a Jazz Club. Can't wait to see what the rest of the trip has in store!
Ms. Abbey presented Classified Information to fifth graders Students enjoyed learning how to classify fish looking at physical characteristics like body shape, fin types and locations, color patterns and more. Students also classified different types of candy with a partner looking for color, shape, flavor, etc. Thank you Ms. Abbey!

Central Juniors attended Prairie Du Chien High School today for the Reality Check personal finance simulation! 💰✨ Each year, this event provides our students with valuable lessons in managing finances and making informed decisions.

Central's 6th grade spent the morning reading to the Preschool students in Ms. Gray's classroom. The stories were written and illustrated by Ms. Bergan and Ms. Tenges students.The stories were about animals with discussion about favorite animals after stories were read.

Central Community FFA members traveled to Waterloo to take part in the 2025 Northeast District FFA Convention! The Conduct of Meetings team consisting of Kristy Schaffer, Lukas Friedlein, Blair Scherf, Kendall Wagner, Reese Kuhse, Greta Scherf, Kayla Hunt, and Reese Kuhse had a successful day of contest finishing the event with a Silver Rating! Two additional members, Aaron Fangman and Millie Burns, represented the chapter as delegates!
The Central Torch Chapter of the National Honor Society will be hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on March 27. Please consider the gift of life! Central/Clayton Ridge Jr High Wrestling team took three tough girls to the state wrestling tournament this weekend, and they left it all on the mat. Macie Cole and Daisha Allison were able to win tough matches on day one, but fell short of the podium, for now. Amerikka Simon battled back after a tough 1st round loss to earn a 7th place finish—an incredible achievement at this level! The hard work, dedication, and heart these girls showed was inspiring. The future is bright for this group!
