Congratulations to the cast and crew of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL on a very successful and excellent production this past weekend! Audiences have been raving about how much fun the show was! This cast and crew have put in countless hours, minutes, and seconds to bring this production to life, sacrificing so much of their own personal time, and all while creating something spectacular like these three amazing shows! Thank you to our seniors for all of their work onstage and offstage. You are a vital part of this production and we are so glad you were able to be a part of it! We also want to thank everyone that helped out with this show. Without you, this show would not be what it became and we are grateful for all of the help this community has brought to this production. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported this show as well. We definitely know WE’RE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER! We’ll say it here one more time, GOOOOOO WILDCATS!

Congratulations to Central Community FFA at the 2022 Clayton County Agronomy Invitational! They had a first and third place team! The event was sponsored by American Family Insurance, Clayton County Farm Bureau, and Iowa Corn Growers Association.

Central students had the opportunity to tour the Iowa Corn Mobile Educational Trailer today. The Iowa Corn Promotion Board designed and built a mobile educational unit to show how corn is grown by farmers right here in Iowa. From the foods on your table to the gas in your car, the classroom on wheels is a fun, interactive experience for Iowans of all ages!

Thank you to Peggy Schilling from the Extension office for leading Jr. Achievement for Mrs. Wiley's 1st graders.

Thank you again to Brown’s Family of Car Dealership for supporting our student-of-the-month program. These programs allow us to recognize one Student-Athlete and one Fine Arts student for individual character and habits that lead to success.
The March Fine Arts Student of the Month has shown great enthusiasm all year for the fine arts. Since January they have participated in large group speech, Individual speech, and the musical. At the beginning of the season, they quietly set a goal for themself then determinedly set out to reach it. Being at practices on time and ready to work, not quitting when that work became a struggle, accepting suggestions from the coach, and requesting additional practices led to achieving those goals. This student can be described as hard-working, determined, respectful, and responsible. This month they have been observed as showing a lot of growth in the musical by the director and other adults have noticed the hard work. They have represented Central well, upholding our standards while at events. Most recently he was honored at the Individual Events All-State Festival for having two All-State nominations, the March Fine Arts Student of the Month is Brayden Finley.

THIS WEEKEND and ONE WEEKEND ONLY!!! Come see Central’s production of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL on April 1st and 2nd @ 7:30pm and April 3rd @ 2:00pm! You won’t want to miss this START OF SOMETHING NEW production where we’ll be ALL IN THIS TOGETHER as we’re BREAKING FREE from the STATUS QUO in order to BOP TO THE TOP! Afterwards, you’ll even say “That musical was WHAT I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR!” So GET’CHA HEAD IN THE Auditorium, get that $6 ticket, and come see this amazing show!!!

#ClayonCountyBEST students met with Business Counselor, Ralph Kluseman, from Northeast Iowa SBDC yesterday to learn more about starting a small business of their own. Thanks to Clayton County Development Group for giving students this opportunity.

The March Student-Athlete of the Month is recognized for achieving success while being extremely active this past month. This student-athlete has seen significant gains in the five domains tested in the most recent PR testing. This student-athlete has regularly exhibited many character traits found in Central’s Building Bridges model of athletic development including teamwork, respect, work ethic, manners, and grit, to name a few. Her coaches commented on how these attributes make her an outstanding teammate and a strength to our athletic programs. This student-athlete is also very active in Fine Arts and has put her artistic talents to work for our school as well, painting the backdrop for the FFA banquet that was last weekend and for the Spring Musical that is this weekend. The March Student-Athlete of the Month is Lexi Loan.
Thank you again to Brown’s Family of Car Dealership for supporting our student-of-the-month program. These programs allow us to recognize one Student-Athlete and one Fine Arts student for individual character and habits that lead to success.

Central Seniors need your help! Are you a recent graduate or the parent of a recent graduate? The Class of 2022 is hoping to collect graduation robes to reuse rather than purchasing new robes each year. Not only is this thrifty but also environmentally minded. Robes will be stored and reused each year.
If you would like to help please bring your gently used robe to the office.
Thank you!
