Kindergarten students are working hard to understand closed syllables: 1 vowel, the vowel is closed in by one or more consonants, and the vowel says its short sound. They were able to come up with 76 different closed syllable words. Feel free to have them explain this to you and continue to "hunt" for these words at home!

Blood drive was a success today! While we didn’t earn a second scholarship, we did meet the goal from the Red Cross of 58 units of blood! The best part though was hearing the positive feedback from the Red Cross volunteers! Way to represent Central!!
