4th graders took a virtual tour of NICC's Dairy facility.



The Varsity baseball game against South Winn for tonight has been postponed. We will play Varsity at South Winn on June 17th and then play JV/V on June 23rd in Garnavillo.
The Elementary Family Picnic will be held at the school in the Commons and Gym areas beginning around 10:45 (after the 10:00 assembly). Please use the front doors along 1st Street to enter and exit the building. If you are taking your child(ren) after the picnic and fun, you'll need to let their teacher(s) know, as well as check out with Mrs. Tuecke in the Commons. The end of the year Elementary CCS assembly begins at 10:00 tomorrow in the main gym. Family picnic will follow. If raining, the picnic will take place in our Commons Area and gyms. Parents can take their kids home after the picnic, just make sure to check out with your teacher.
Friday is an 11:30 dismissal.
The Central JV/V softball game at Edgewood-Colseburg scheduled for Thursday night will be played tonight at 5:00 pm.

Elementary Field Day Tomorrow! (Rain day Wednesday the 26th)

Mrs. Bergan’s sixth grade class wrapped up their earth science unit with a trip to FreedomBank to look at the fossils found in the limestone that was used to construct the building. Students found many plant and animal fossils from the Ordovician time period when Iowa was still a shallow tropical sea.


Due to potential weather concerns, the Varsity baseball game will be played first tonight at 5:00 pm, JV will follow.
PBIS winners took a trip to Backbone State Park. They had fun hiking and exploring.

5th Grade had a great field trip today to Iowa's Dairy Center in Calmar!

Elementary Assembly & Picnic Information

Officer Seitz stopped by the Makerspace today to help some students with their projects. They were making police vests out of cardboard and computer parts, and Officer Seitz showed them his vest to offer more ideas.
