Students in Animal Science are learning the primal and retail cuts of beef. Price of the retail cut is highly dependent on the location it is from on the beef animal. One goal for this lesson is to be a wiser consumer at the grocery store when choosing beef.

The Central JH and HS participated in Earth Day activities this week. Students did river cleanup on the Turkey, planted trees at Osborne, did roadside clean up, spruced up Founders Park and had a little fun fishing the Turkey River. Mrs. Steffen's class have been experimenting with a Bits and Bots kit from the Clayton County Extension Office. They worked on "Programming" a bot to move in various directions as well as building a Robot using Cubelet blocks.
