The 4th graders planted a tree today in honor of Arbor Day. They also got to take home a shagbark hickory seedling to plant.
Students in Animal Science are learning the primal and retail cuts of beef. Price of the retail cut is highly dependent on the location it is from on the beef animal. One goal for this lesson is to be a wiser consumer at the grocery store when choosing beef.

The Central JH and HS participated in Earth Day activities this week. Students did river cleanup on the Turkey, planted trees at Osborne, did roadside clean up, spruced up Founders Park and had a little fun fishing the Turkey River. Thanks to C.J., Riley, Jordan and Luke for your hard work in planning this event and to all who participated!

$1,000.00 and 1,471 pounds of food was donated by the students at Central Community School and delivered to the Clayton County Food Shelf last week.

Mrs. Steffen's class have been experimenting with a Bits and Bots kit from the Clayton County Extension Office. They worked on "Programming" a bot to move in various directions as well as building a Robot using Cubelet blocks.
