While tomorrow may be dedicated as Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we’re celebrating our paraprofessionals all week! Please help us recognize some of our “behind-the-scenes educators”. They work under the supervision of licensed professionals and play an integral role in education. We truly believe it takes a village and all hands-on deck to ensure the best possible learning conditions for our students. Here at Central, we would be lost without our Paraprofessionals! We truly have some of the best! Please thank these educators when you see them and let them know how much you appreciate all their hard work in and out of the classrooms and the love that they provide to our Warriors!

This morning, Central Eighth Graders attended a Career Fair that was hosted by NICC and Upper Iowa University at UIU. This opportunity allows these students to start thinking about career and educational goals. These booths provided some great hands-on activities and were very much enjoyed by these Central students!

Second grade finished up their last junior achievement with Chelsie from FreedomBank today! They enjoyed learning about community and government, and they especially enjoyed making pizzas and getting paid for their work. They ended their last session with certificates and cookies! Thank you Chelsie for teaching us so many new things!

Today, Mr. Stramer's 5th grade class finished their Junior Achievement lessons with Dana Burns from Freedom Bank. The students learned a lot about our nation's free market system through some hands-on activities and class discussions. They ended their last session with learning about where specific goods from all around the world come from. Mrs. Burns was also nice enough to bring in some cookies for the final session! Thank you so much!

Hey Central Warriors, we NEED your help! This fundraiser ends on Thursday. Central Student Council is holding their spring fundraising event to raise money for The Clayton County Food Shelf. Elementary students are asked to bring in BOXED FOOD donations..... and The PENNY WAR is ON for grades 7 - 12 and all staff. This is always a fun way to raise money and we understand there may be some new and exciting circumstances involved in this year's event. Stay tuned for more on that..... By participating in this fundraiser, you are helping to support families within our district and all throughout the area that benefit from the support the Clayton County Food Shelf provides. This is a HUGE service in our area and we want to make this a successful fundraising event. Please consider doing what you can to help!!! Thanks, Warriors!!!

This morning, Central students in Kindergarten and First Grade came out to a fun surprise. Someone hid bunnies and eggs in the rock wall and around the trees for the kids to find! Thank you to whoever planned this "surprise"!
