School counselors create a tremendous impact on students in achieving school success and planning for life after high school. Today kicks off National School Counseling Week and here at Central, we are fortunate to have a dedicated consultant who provides invaluable support to our students and their families. Mrs. Angie Bergan serves as our Guidance Counselor and has been working with the Central Community School District since 2017. No longer being shared with Starmont Schools, she became a full-time Warrior in the Fall of 2022.
Mrs. Bergan comes with many years of experience in counseling and works with our students to remove barriers in learning, helping them address academic concerns, their career options, all while trying to manage their social and emotional skills. She assists students daily, fostering relationships, helping with class schedules, and creating an environment to promote the best learning atmosphere possible. She is an essential part of our student success! Please help give a BIG THANK YOU to Central's Guidance Counselor and show our appreciation this week, especially!
Have you met Mrs. Bergan? How has she helped you and/or your student? If Mrs. Bergan has helped you or your family in any way, we would love to hear about it.

Upcoming Warrior Events this WEEK!

Large Group Speech had a great day in Dubuque! The improv group with Carter Krugger, Gracie Cummer, and Coral Rork received straight 1's as well as Gracie's solo mime. The improv group with Logan Sharpe, Keeley Curran, and Makayla Erickson received two 1's and a 2 with an overall 1 rating! Now we wait to see if anyone is headed to All-State!

Central's third graders practiced family words en español and family connections (the son of my uncle is my __) by building word towers. Don't let it fall!
