Today in Mrs. Bergan's ELA we made avocado/glycerin hand moisturizer. We followed how Esperanza and Hortensia tried keeping their hands soft in the novel we are reading, "Eperanza Rising ". First group we were unsure of results. Second group we added a bit more glycerin and had a little better outcome.

Scott Obermann is coming to Central! Since 2005, Scott has been bringing fun and educational programs to elementary students throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, South Dakota, Michigan, Indiana and Iowa.
In December, Scott will bring his unique and high energy show to Elkader, as he presents his Character Construction Assembly. This program brings a positive message, highlighting the six pillars of character – Trust, Respect, Responsibility, Fairness, Caring and Citizenship. Using magic and ventriloquism, combined with audience interaction, Scott will bring a better understanding to our students on why the world is in need of people with strong character, why the world needs people who can hammer out differences and drill down to the core of the problem.
We invite all of our Central families, parents and grandparents to join us for what should be an exciting hour of entertainment, learning and fun!
